Intergroup Roundtable: Updated report on homophobia in Europe
On the 30th November 2010, the Fundamental Rights Agency will present their updated report on Homophobia, Transphobia and Discrimination on grounds of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity. On this occasion, the Intergroup is hosting a roundtable to discuss the report with MEPs, policy-makers and civil society.
The Fundamental Rights Agency has updated its 2008 reports on Homophobia and Discrimination on Grounds of Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity in the EU Member States. The updated legal analysis will be officially presented to MEPs in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs in the morning of the 30th November.
Following the official presentation and a press conference, the LGBT Intergroup will host a roundtable for MEPs to discuss the contents of the report with two guests:
- Morten Kjaerum Director of the Fundamental Rights Agency
- Evelyne Paradis Executive Director at ILGA-Europe
The discussion will be hosted by Sophie in’t Veld MEP, Vice-President of the Intergroup and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs.
